I guess with most bars, its all about timing, as when they are good and when they are not. I live in chelsea, and since babushka came to the kings road, i used to go to it when it was further down on the corner, but since its moved all i can say , We LOVE YOU BABUSHKA!! to be honest usually only go on friday or sat, and the music is tops, plenty of quality classics , that we remember, and some wick jazz funk. had a party there of 20 of my mates last sat , and we had the best night in ages, didnt even bother going on to purple as we had such a good time there. Rock on babushka chelsea. Forget those hethens below!!!

Went here late on a lovely sunny Friday afternoon, yet my friend and I were the ONLY people in the whole bar. We were served a tasteless, watery martini that had been shaken to death, the fake leather on the chairs was ripped and sellotaped and there was limp lettuce on the floor. We left at 7 o clock and were still the only people in there, on a friday night! Filthy chain bar, avoid at all cost!

Babushka has a very 'cool' atmosphere where everyone looks like everyone else. The cocktails are really good if not (as always) as little overpriced! The staff appeared to be pretty efficient but getting in on a friday evening is near impossible often with people waiting outside to get in. That hopefully means alot of people think its worth going to!

Went here a wet sunday afternoon for lunch with two friends. Apart from one couple having coffee we were the only people there but the service was rubbish. We had to wait over 15 minutes to order, the waiter was unfriendly and the food then arrived in intervals. Doubtful I'll go back.
