Digress

I visited this bar on the same night I went to Momo. What a contrast. At Digress, staff were rude and service was very poor. I asked for a champagne cocktail. When the waitress poured in the champagne it went over the glass. She then stuck a tissue into the glass to mop out the excess bubbles! Then, one of the other waitresses, who was cleaning the bar, nearly knocked the drink over and had to top it up with more champagne.

The place looks shabby and is clearly trading on a reputation it no longer deserves. There are other bars in this area that do the same job as Digress but much better.

After reading reviews for this bar, I was very hesitant in going here, but as my sister had already booked it her for Birthday drinks I could'nt get out of it. Surprising I must say we had a really good night, she had birthday drinks on the house and the bar staff were really nice. After cocktails, we moved downstairs to the dancefloor and danced till the early hours ! Blooming brilliant :o)

Absolutely appalling service, we waited for over an hour for chips, wedges, pitta and breaded chicken. An hour for chips? Food was cold and was not as it was described on the menu. When we complained the 'manager' was so unhelpful and rude. Happy hour seemed good value, but the crappy service and disappointing food ruined the night - will never go back. Rubbish.

Pretty good, unpretentious upstairs bar, and fun and lively downstairs disco/dance area. Cheesy and great for an after work late one. Not overly original or inspriring but it is what you are up for!
