Woody's is a difficult club to define... but maybe this is why I keep going back.
For those who like routine, this is not the place for you. This is an admirable task, given that most places "build" their clientele based on what one expects once you're there. The only routine at Woody's, it seems, is to make every night a little different... and attracting beautiful people!
On week-nights, the place is busy - not packed! My favourite weeknight there is Wednesday nights - when an eclectic mix of live bands (p-rock, indie, alternative rock and others) makes it a nice end to a busy day, as you sip one their famous Champagne Mojitos or Caipirinhas, which I would highly recommend. As with any club, the crowd increases as the week ends.
Then comes Friday and Saturday nights, when the place simply rocks. Their 3 floors feature different DJs - some louder and others less venturous - but all in all a great atmosphere. Lots of dancing, lots of friendly people and the sound system is awesome!
Another big factor is that they're open until 3am, so it's the perfect place to come after having dinner, rather than rushing to a place before it shuts. However, because of the late license, you may want to consider coming before 11pm on weekends, as you may have to queue to get in - and you don't want to do this under the English weather!
Location-wise, Woody's is a bit removed from the main hubs of W11, but this is no inconvenience, as parking and cabs are easily found, the Westbourne Grove Tube station is only 1 minute's walk and plenty of night buses to see you to your doorstep (or someone else's) safely.
