Knight's Bar

I love this bar: all faded elegance, quiet and cosy with fabulous cocktails. Perfect for a romantic drink or a quiet natter with friends, with the piano player tinkling away in the background. The bar staff are lovely and make anyone feel at home. Perhaps not the place for a lively group, but perfect for everyone else...

We visited based on the reviews on this site and it really was a find. Whilst being quite small, with a feeling of faded elegance, Knights is a great bar with a comprehensive menu and not unreasonably priced drinks (relative to Central London). The waiting staff were a little inconsistant and the 12.5% 'optional service' which was added to the bill was a cheek but the low-key atmosphere and well-made cocktails makes this well worth a visit.

A old-style and relaxing venue for post-theatre or after work drinks. We settled into the comfy couches and armchairs and were instantly lulled by the warm glow from the table lamps and by the fruity raspberry martinis that were competently mixed by the polite and unobtrusive bartender. Black and white photographs of mostly unidentifiable men and women from the flapper era decorate the walls, lending the room a distinct feel of old-ageness, hinting at a grandeur long past. A lovely end to an evening (but don't make it too late, Knight's Bar closed at 11 pm on the Friday night we were there).
