Having been a member for a wile, there is something to be said: Abigails is a place that first and foremost servers a purpose. It has nice decor, very good music, especially upstairs in the Lounge area and is - rare as I have found out - reliable. As a member you can reserve tables with very short notice, service is fantastic and it is open late. Recently there has been a change in management wich has stopped a recent fading of quality before it really started. I hope prices stay as they are, a further increase would spoil the laid back atmosphere. Oh - and they really do put some serious amounts of spirits into their cocktails... Membership also comes at a rather reasonable rate, considering the great treatment you recieve.

I bought a shot of bourbon here, in order to get five pound change for the fag machine. Gave the barman a tenner and got about £2.50 back. Crikey, it's expensive.

A pretentious catwalk of a juicer, full of obnoxious PR/media tosspots and their screeching harridan women. The music was too loud to facilitate thinking, let alone conversation.

That said, there are much worse places in Soho.

A very nice members only bar in the heart of Soho rubbing shoulders with peep show clubs and coffee shops. There is a bar area and lounge with comfy sofas on the ground floor and downstairs another bar and a small dance floor. Apparently members can hold small parties here and there is a DJ Thursday Friday and Saturday from around 9pm so you could happily spend all evening here!

The drinks menu is extensive and the barman can mix a mean cocktail. My companion had a vodka martini that was near perfect.

There is a food menu but really as an accompaniment to the booze. We had olives and nuts but there were other bar snacks available; club sandwiches; tortilla chips and so on. All the usual suspects. The clientele are media types meeting up after work before going on to dinner but with the expectation that they would be back at Abigail's for late drinking until 2am.

Cosy and Relaxing.

Abigail's is a great place to relax, hide away and/or party.

There is a chilled out vibe and excellent cocktails and food.

Last time I went, I was forced to drink Krug all night by some of the revellers (hard life).

Funkiest club in London.

Join today.
