Kingly Club

I first went to the Kingly Club in December 2004 and i've been hooked ever since. Always made to feel really welcome regardless of whether I'm having a glass of orange juice or a Champagne Royale. It's a slinky place but not pretentious like China is. I'm now a member and looking forward to the next Kingly party!

Loved this place! Great atmosphere and the friendly staff made it a very enjoyable experience, not to mention the cheap food and drinks!

I too went to the Kingly Club and was asked if we were members but were let in anyway. I thought it was a lovely place for quiet after dinner drinks. I loved the white leather and we were lucky enough to go on a night when it wasn;t too busy so we were able to feel like VIP's in a white leather booth. I found the service to be excellent and very friendly and I would definitely visit again!

Happened on Kingly bar whilst out with a friend, decided to go in. Was asked by the doorman if he could help and we gayly said, we'd like to the go in please! He asked if we were members, we replied no. He let us in anyway.
The ambience/decor was breath taking. The service was good but a bit pushy. as we got asked every 5 minutes if we needed a refill. We ordered champagne cocktails all night and a full platter of sushi. It was very nice. The prices were steep though.
I'd go back there and even consider joining the club. It's a place you'd be happy to take anyone for a plush night out.

I went after work with my boyfriend and another couple. We were all smartly dressed and decided to go to a couple of nice bars. We did Circus and Red Bar and then decided to try the Kingly Club which I had heard was very nice. We were stopped by the doorman and asked if we had reservations to which I replied no, but they let us in anyway.
The club is very small but really beautiful, all white leather sofas and fish in tanks built into the walls.
The first round of cocktails went down a treat but when we were approached by a hostess offering us champagne we declined and ordered another round of cocktails instead.
The drinks still hadnt arrived after 20 mins so I went up to the bar to enquire. I was told in no uncertain terms by the hostess who had served us that if I didnt like waiting I could cancel my order. She was really hostile and acted completely differently from when she was trying to weedle £40 out of us for a bottle of house champagne.
Anyway we left after that.
I complained to the manager but after recieving one email promising he would look into what happened I never heard again.
My verdict? Very beautiful but also very up itself. Shame.
