The Blues Bar

This is a really great bar. ALways had a superb night here. Good variety of blues bands. The only downside is that its usually totally packed out. A few weeks ago we couldn't get in so roamed Soho and came across a place called Jazz After Dark...quite a find in that it had a superb blues band playing....they play every Thursday night. A good alternative if you want excellent live blues and a chance of a seat!

There is nothing quite like the glee of receiving ones change in a silver ash tray. If you would like to drink with a lecherous 37 year old Accountant, or a desperado Lady from Essex then this is your place. Remember if you were bullied at school you too can strike even by using your corporate amex card to impress your drinking chums.

aintnothinbut.co.uk.. check out the website for giglist not that it reallyt matters.. discovered this place 3 weeks ago and eben back 4 times already.. I ll be honest after looking at the giglist I didnt recognise any of the bands but I can assure theyre all awesome.. good time stuff.. yes its loud, smoky, crowded (depends on time) and if you go after 11 you ll be lucky to find a seat but this is what makes it so great.. the atmosphere.. the musicians are enjoying themselves and so are we.. 3 pound a pint of stripe..good value in my eyes. My advice is get to the front in between stes people goand ull et some seats.. ull probably end up chatting to the people on ur lefta nd right because its that kind of place.. dance if you want.. all kinds of different people, nationalities, .. for a road thats packed full of pretentious hang outs this makes a very refreshing change.. anyway go and find out..,
