Great beer and good value good food - agree the atmosphere is more traditional 'proper' pub than modern bar, and the fruit machines are naff, but it's still worth checking out and I have no hesitation recommending it to friends

Quite agree Penny. I hadn't been here for many years - when it used to be vibrant and cosmospolitan. (In 1984 it was the top Grand Met pub - sorry to show my age!). Now it is dirty and a disgrace to our capital city.

What a rough pub! You would have thought you were in a pub in a very poor area of London rather than in a pleasant road in Pimlico/Chelsea. The pub felt dirty and unwelcoming with obtrusive flashing slot machines and a couldn't care less barmaid.
