Match EC1

I love Match! I have visited this one, the one off Regent St. and the Sosho at Moorgate, and although this is not somewhere to go nightly (unless you're minted) they really do serve the best cocktails in town.

A little pretentious and bordering on overpriced, however, the food and snacks are usually very original and quite delicious. The atmosphere is great as is the choice of beers, a great place for supper on balmy summer nights before you trundle down to Turnmills!

I completely agree with Anne, ridiculously overpriced and appalling bar service with staff who obviously hate their jobs and the customers. However the decor and atmosphere was good.

I thoroughly enjoyed my evening in Match. I started with a vodka espresso and didn't look back. My friends and I sampled a wide range of well mixed cocktails and clamoured for more. We received great table service from the waitresses, who fought their way through the crowds to bring us our bar food (and more cocktails). If your idea of a good night is top class drinks and funky music, make Match your venue.

I think reviews are meant to be objective and honest, not disrespectful. I personally love Match. Service is wonderful, and, when added, service charge is entirely optional, but always deserved. Hardly overpriced- £16 for a good bottle of wine? anyway, why aren't you drinking cocktails in an award winning cocktail bar?

To everyone else, try it yourself and make your own minds up, but just remember it is a bar not a fine dining restaurant.
