good food and good-looking restaurant at the back, but very bad service. the maitre d' is rather out of her depth unfortunately. shame, because there is quality in the menu and the space.

Great place for a weekend brunch or an informal dinner.

Plenty of space in the back restaurant and more of a buzz in the front area.

Surprisingly good food and service.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, mid-morning coffee or late night drinks, the Electric always feels buzzy and welcoming. It can get a bit much at the weekends, particularly when seated at the tables along the wall opposite the bar which is a bit like eating in a busy corridor. The food is good and reliable and refreshingly unpretentious with a 'something for everyone menu' rangin from burgers to fresh fish to good sized delicious salads. Service is very good, even when it's really busy. For a calmer more sedate meal, make sure you ring in advance and book at table in the back section.

Try the cinema and you will forget that paying 10£ to see a film is outrageous. Try the Brasserie and love the show off atmosphere.
